How about the real barbecue flavour on my gasbarbecue ?

The real BBQ flavour depends on the herbs, spices, marinades, and of course the taste of the meat. Barbecue woods and herbs can be sprinkled over the grill to enforce the taste of the meat.

A real BBQ meat/fish flavour is the perfect result.

Do I need to use lava rocks ?

No, the use of lava rocks is unnecessary. The heath is spread equally all over the BBQ surface, by the W-shaped plate that is above the burners.

There is no lava rock, reducing the weight and dirt considerably, and the grill conveniently does not fall into pieces whichever way up it is moved.

Why no wheels on my BBQ ?

It may look pretty, but this is a tough, practical and portable grill. The legs are designed not to sink into damp earth or sand, and will protect the ends of the grill when folded.

They aso enable it to be stored upright – a real space saver !

What size gas tank can I use for the BBQ and the Mobile Cooking Unit, and how long will it last ?

The BBQ and Mobile Cooking Unit is designed for all propane 10,5 kg gas bottles. One gasbottle can last about 18 hours on a big and 9 hours on a small BBQ and a Mobile Cooking Unit on full !!

The unique recirculating heat design of the BBQ's means they are very economical to run.

Is the use of a gasbottle safe ?

Propane and butane gas are currently used for different applications and are very safe. The BBQ and Mobilie Cooking Units have a flame failure safety device. Propane is used outdoor only, butane can also be used inside.

What type of regulator and hose do I need for my BBQ and Mobile Cooking Unit ?

The hose and regulator of 37 mbar (1,5 kg) are provided with the BBQ and Mobile Cooking Unit. You may only use a combination of hose and regulator that complies with all local standards, and that corresponds with the couplings of the gas cylinder. Keep the hose as short as possible.

How do I light my BBQ, and how quickly can I start to cook ?

Your BBQ is lighted manually (with a lighter) underneath the body, after having opened the gasbottle and the gasvalve on Your BBQ. After 2 minutes, Your BBQ has enough heath to put the food on the grillsurface.

Can I connect my Mobile Cooking Unit on natural gas ?

Yes, a Mobile Cooking Unit can be manufactured, working on natural gas. In that case it cannot work on propane/butane. The unit must be connected to the natural gas outlet, and isn't mobile anymore.

Why can the wheels on my Mobile Cooking Unit not move forwards ?

The Mobile Cooking Unit can only be displaced to the left and to the right for transport. On the side it can be fixed and set horizontally, enabling to cook on difficult places. So the Unit will not move forward while cooking.

How do I clean my BBQ ?

To clean Your BBQ after your party is very easy.

The ALPINA BBQ's have the unique feature : the internals are like a self-cleaning oven. Most units actually never need cleaning internally.

When a metal sheet pan is placed on the grill (after lighting), it will increase the heat and convert the carbon particles to a dry, powdery ash, similar to the process of a self-cleaning oven. This must be done for about 15 minutes.

The flat griddle accessory is perfect as a cleaning tool, as it covers a grill area and allows just the right amount of ventilation, so any residue on the cooking surface will also convert into a powdery ash to be brushed away. A simple wipe-down is all that is required.

Removal of the grilling surface is unnecessary, except for major servicing.

Can the heat of my BBQ and the flame of my Mobile Cooking Unit be adjusted ?

Yes, gas knobs can be regulated, enabling to BBQ and to cook the food perfectly while adjusting the heath and the flame.

What happens with the fat while BBQ'ing and Cooking ?

At the end of the BBQ, a fat drip-out enables the evacuation of the very few fat during the BBQ. The most of the fat is already burned inside while grilling. When placed on a very nice terrace, You must foresee a smal recepient underneath to collect the very few fat which will come out. When placed in gras, don't put anything.

On your Mobile Cooking Unit, there is a smal hole on the cast iron griddle, which enables the fat to be evacuated in a special removable recepient.

Can my Mobile Cooking Unit be used indoors ?

Of course it can be used indoors, but only on butane gas bottles, no propane gas. If You have an Unit on natural gas, it just needs to be connected to the gas outlet.

How does the refrigerator works on the Mobile Cooking Unit ?

The smal refrigerator on the models BG001 and BG002 are working on the same gasbottle used for cooking, or on electrical power. It just needs to be switched on the required power.

How to connect the sink on my Mobile Kitchen ?

Underneath the models BG001 and BG003 there is a connection for hot and cold water, even as a water evacuation outlet to be connected.

What kind of pan can I use on my Cooking Unit ?

All cooking devices and pans can be used, adapted to the burners of course. On the big burners, you can also use a big pan or wok.

How do I connect the icemaker on my Mobile Cocktailbar ?

The waterconnection even as the electrical connection (220V) needed for the icemaker are forseen underneath on the right of the Mobile Cocktailbar.

Where to connect the water in- and outlet for the Totem ?

All connections for hot and cold water, even as the outlet of the sink are put underneath the Totem, and can be installed under the wooden foodboard. (Installation must be done by a plumber)

Can I install a Totem indoors ?

The Totem can of course be installed indoors, such as in lofts and other design interiors.

How far is the patio heater emitting heath ?

The patio-heater is not warming up the air, but emits infrared heath in about 7 metres diameter, no matter the outside temperature or blowing wind. It is comparable with sun heath. The patio-heater can of course be adjusted to decrease the heath emission.

Is the patio-heater easy to move and can I disconnect the upper part ?

Yes, the patio-heater can be easily moved by its big wheels. If You choose to let the gasbottle outside, You just should disconnect manually the shaft with the burner from the lower gastank by clicking.
